Cindy Briggs, NWS, NWWS, is a professional watercolor artist and instructor with over 25 years of experience inspiring artists of all levels. Known for her luminous, expressive style, Cindy encourages students to embrace the beauty of spontaneity and simplicity in their paintings.

She teaches popular online workshops, including “Quick Sketch Watercolors” and “All About Watercolors,” and leads plein air and studio watercolor workshops across Europe and the U.S. Cindy is also a faculty member at the Smithsonian Studio Arts Program and teaches for French Escapade, Terracotta.art, and the University of Utah. Drawing and painting her travels is her passion, she helps artists capture the spirit of their journeys in vibrant watercolors.

Cindy has been published in Plein Air Magazine, American Watercolor, and Splash 24, and shares her love for painting through Zoom sessions, live paint-alongs, mentoring programs, and in-person experiences. Her welcoming, encouraging approach makes watercolor accessible, joyful, and meaningful for artists around the world.
